TransGenada Wins SBIR Grant for Shrimp Disease Project

July 8th, 2013 by Andrew J. Ripley

TransGenada is proud to announce that our project to create near immunized strains of L. vannamei  has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant by the federal government. The grant comes from The National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), a subsidiary of the USDA.

The details can be read in this press release.

Apart from additional funding, this grant acts as an independent verification of the project’s methodology, key staff, and market impact. Over three hundred grant applications are submitted each year and only a few reach final approval. We are very pleased to have been selected and grateful to the government for making this opportunity available. We invite all those following TG to celebrate with us and we welcome feedback and are always open to collaborative opportunities.
